That’s because what LKY created is no beauty in the first place, but a rubbish heap hidden beneath lots of perfumes! So when he is gone, the “perfume” dissipates, and the rubbish heap reappears. In a true democracy, there is check and balance and a free media such that any minute rubbish will be exposed immediately and not allowed to accumulate. So when one leader is gone, it’s no big deal to the country, which simply moves on with another leader. Such is not the case in dictatorship.

There are instances where even a very high ranking SAF staff officer holding the rank of General and appt. of Chief of SAF Medical was convicted in the Military Courts for unbecoming behaviour towards his female soldiers.
